Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to develop a reputation management scale that can be used in higher education institutions. In the first phase, five experts were presented to the opinion to study the scale, scale validity and readability of the materials prepared as 70 items, the result of this process, five items were removed from scale. The draft form, organized according to expert opinions, was applied to a total of 774 academic staff, administrative staff and students in eight faculties within Harran University. To study the structural validity of the measurement, the Detection and Verification Factor Analysis AFA-DFA, the internal consistency ratio of Cronbach Alfa and the substance-total correlations are calculated to determine the reliability. The results of the analyses were extracted from the scale of 9 substances and the remaining 56 substances were collected under eight factors greater than 1. As a result of the DFA, it has been shown that the model identified with AFA has excellent conformity indicators. The Alfa ratio for the whole of the measurement is determined as .96, while the factors also found that the values in question were high. As the scores to be obtained from the scale of reputation management rise, the perceptions of reputation of individuals about the institution will increase, but as the scores to be obtained decrease, the perceptions of reputation will also decrease.
