Journal of Education and Research in Nursing
Yazar:
Özet:

INTRODUCTION: Presenting the development stages of the new hanger systems developed and introducing the system created. METHODS: The study was conducted in an Obstetrics and Pediatrics Research and Training Hospital in the city of Istanbul. In the study, according to aspects that were obstructed, the designs and prototype productions of the new project apparatus was performed. After the innovative product was developed, a patent was acquired and the patient application phase was started after acquiring the necessary permissions. The study was conducted with the participation of 60 patients and 30 employees. The SPSS 17.0 program was used in the evaluation of study results. RESULTS: Within the context of the project, two different innovative sling systems were designed that are not yet used in our country or abroad. The first of these is the Shoulder Integrated Serum Sling that would be used in serum applications, and the second is the Leg Integrated Foley Catheter Sling that would remove mobilization concerns.  When the second stage application results of the study are evaluated, the satisfaction levels of the study group (96.4%) were found to be very high compared to the control group (46.6%), while no complications were reported in carrying the invasive treatment tools, and it was determined that patient comfort increased, that nurses had positive views on the sling systems used, and that the nurses had high satisfaction levels (93.4%). The difference between the sling system satisfaction rates was found to be statistically significant (p lt;0.001) DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: When all of the results were evaluated, both patients and employees were found to have positive views and high levels of satisfaction.
