Abstract:

Çalışanların örgüte olan katkılarının ve performans düzeylerinin belirlenmesinde faydalanılan performans değerlendirme sistemi, örgütte çalışanlarla ilgili alınabilecek bütün yönetsel kararlarda etkili bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Bu sistem, örgütsel adalet kavramının en iyi şekilde anlaşılmasını sağlayan insan kaynakları yönetiminin en önemli fonksiyonlarından biridir. Bunun en temel sebebi, performans değerlendirme sonuçlarının stratejik planlama, ücretlerin belirlenmesi, eğitim ve geliştirme, iş rotasyonu, terfi ve işten uzaklaştırma gibi birçok kararların alınmasında kullanılmasıdır. Çalışanlar örgüte sağlamış oldukları katkılar ile performans değerlendirme sonuçlarından elde etmiş oldukları kazanımlar arasında bir dengesizlik algıladıklarında örgütsel adalet, örgütsel bağlılık, motivasyon, verimlilik vb. gibi konularda sorunlar yaşanabilecektir. Bununla birlikte yapılan performans değerleme ve yönetim hataları işletmenin de genel olarak performans kaybına neden olabilecektir. Bundan dolayı performans değerleme kavramının çok önemli yönetim fonksiyonu olduğu bilinci ile hareket edilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada performans değerlendirme süreci ve yönetiminde yapılan temel hatalar hakkında açıklamalar yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda en sık yapılan hataların değerlendiricinin etkili bir yöntem uygulaması ile ortaya çıkan kişisel önyargılar ile nicel ölçütlere bağlılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:

The performance assessment system, which is used to determine employees’ contribution to the organization and performance levels, is effectively used in all administrative decisions that may be made concerning employees in the organization. This system is one of the most important functions of human resource management that enables the best understanding of the concept of organizational justice. The main reason for this is the use of performance assessment results in many decisions, such as strategic planning, wage determination, training and development, business rotation, promotion, and employment withdrawal. When employees perceive an imbalance between the contribution they have made to the organization and the achievements they have obtained from the performance assessment results, organizational justice, organizational commitment, motivation, efficiency, etc. There may be problems in such a matter. However, performance assessment and management errors can also lead to overall performance loss of the business. Therefore, it is necessary to move with the awareness that the concept of performance assessment is a very important management function. This study has been explained about the performance assessment process and the main errors made in management. The most common mistakes made in this scope have been found that the evaluator is consistent with the personal predictions and quantitative measures arising from an effective method.

This system is one of the most important functions of human resources management, which provides the best understanding of the concept of organizational justice. The main reason for this is that performance evaluation results are used in many decisions such as strategic planning, determination of wages, training and development, job rotation, promotion and dismissal. Organizational justice, organizational commitment, motivation, efficiency, etc., when employees perceive an imbalance between their contributions to the organization and their gains from performance evaluation results. There may be problems in such issues. However, performance appraisal and management errors can cause performance loss in general. Therefore, it is necessary to act with the awareness that the concept of performance evaluation is a very important management function. In this study, explanations were made about the basic errors in performance evaluation process and management. In this context, it has been determined that the most common mistakes are the personal biases that arise with the effective method application of the evaluator and adherence to quantitative criteria.
