Tıbbi görüntülemeler başta Manyetik Rezonans (MRI), Bilgisayarlı Tomografi (BT), Ultrasonografi gibi yöntemler olmak üzere endoskopi ve kolonoskopi yoluyla elde edilen görüntülemelere ve mamografi, anjiyografi ve girişimsel radyolojinin diğer bileşenleriyle elde edilen çok geniş bir alanı içermektedir. Bu görüntüler teşhis, operasyon ve tedavi konularında karar destek yardımcıları olduğu gibi yapay zekâ yardımıyla bizzat karar üretecek boyutlara gelmiştir. Amerikan İlaç ve Gıda Dairesi (FDA) onayı alan ilaç ve gıda ürünleri geniş kitleler tarafından güven kazanmaktadır. Bu güven sebepsiz değildir. Geçmiş deneyler, kanıta dayalı çalışmalar, raporlamadaki hassasiyetler bu güvenin ortaya çıkmasındaki başlıca sebeplerdir. FDA 2014 yılından bu yana tıbbi görüntüleme tekniklerinden elde edilen verilerin, yapay zekâ yardımıyla işlenmesi sonucu daha hassas ve güvenilir teşhis konusunda kullanılabilecek ürünleri onaylamaktadır. Aradan geçen sürede Sağlık Alanında Yapay Zekâ kullanan firmalar, bu firmalara ait ürünler ve bu ürünlerin kullanıldığı klinikler bakımından sayı ve çeşit artışı görülmektedir. Bir ürünün FDA onayı almış olması aynı zamanda kullanılan teknolojinin de onaylanmış olduğu anlamına gelmektedir. Bu alanda yapılan çalışmaların çoğu günümüzde kolay ulaşılabilir hale gelen diğer teknolojilerin kullanımı ve entegrasyonu ile geliştirilmiştir. Bir teknolojinin bir kez icat edilmiş olması bile başkalarının da aynı teknolojiyi geliştirebileceği anlamını taşır. Öte yandan bir teknolojinin ilk icat sebebi ne olursa olsun bulunan yöntem başka bir alana uyarlanarak kullanılabilmektedir. Sağlık alanında kullanılan bu teknolojiler uzun süren Ar-Ge çalışmalarıyla elde edilmiştir. Büyük bütçeler kullandıkları da bilinmektedir. Ancak ürün ortaya çıktıktan sonra harcanan zamana ve emeğe değecek ölçüde kazançlar ve başarımlar elde edilmektedir. Gelişmiş ülkelerin Ar-Ge konularında çok önemli bütçeler ayırdığı bilinmektedir. Ar-GE sektöründe öykünme ve tersine mühendislik yöntemleri de son derece doğal ve öykünülen üründen daha başarılı sonuçlar da el edilen yöntemlerdir. Aynı ihtiyaçlara sahip taraflar aynı alt teknolojilere ve insan kaynaklarına da sahipse benzer başarılar gösterebilir. Bu makalede yapılan incelemenin bir amacı da teknoloji geliştiricilere ve girişimcilere sağlık sektöründeki teknolojiler konusunda ilham kaynağı vermek ve bu alanda çalışma ya da yatırım yapmaya motive etmektir.

During the period, the number and variety of companies using artificial intelligence in the field of health, the products belonging to these companies and the clinics where these products are used are increasing. The fact that a product has been approved by the FDA also means that the technology used is also approved. Most of the work in this field has been developed with the use and integration of other technologies that are becoming easily accessible today. Even if one technology has been invented once, it means that others can develop the same technology. On the other hand, the first invention of a technology, regardless of the reason, can be used by adapting to another field. These technologies used in the field of health have been achieved through long-term R&D work. It is also known that large budgets are used. But after the product appears, the amount of time and work that is worth the profit and success is achieved. It is known that the developed countries are allocating very important budgets for R&D issues.
