Özet:

Prepositions do not correspond to entities and movements as words that do not have meaning alone. However, when used together with words, phrases, or sentences, they can establish different meaning relationships. Because of these properties, prepositions are known as an attendant, auxiliary, meaningless words, etc. They also come after the noun element in the syntax and form a group of words called a preposition group. This study aims to determine the type of the first-word group that constitutes the "noun element" in preposition groups. The study consists of two parts except for the introduction part. The preposition type is mentioned in the introduction part and some inflectional prepositions used in Turkey Turkish are presented. Next, in the first part, the preposition group and its properties are explained. Also, grammar books, linguistics dictionaries, and grammar dictionaries are given in Table 1 and Table 2 by examining different denominations made in the context of the preposition group by researchers who study the grammar of Turkish in this section. In the second part, all word groups were examined in terms of being noun elements in the prepositions group. Within the scope of the study, in the theoretical issues related to preposition groups books related to the syntax of Turkey Turkish were benefited from sources such as thesis and articles. In the sampling of theoretical considerations, academic works related to the field were applied, some literary works were reviewed, and related examples in the works were included in the study. Some example sentences were constructed by the researchers of this study. At the end of the study, thirteen out of the fourteen-word groups were found to have noun elements in prepositional groups. It has been concluded that the only group of words that cannot have a noun element in prepositional groups is a combined verb.
