Özet: Nazilli erken dönemlerden beri bulunduğu bölgede ticarî malların pazarlanmasında önemli toplanma yerleri arasında sayılmaktaydı. Osmanlı Devleti döneminde Kestel olarak da anılan Nazilli, bu ticarî özelliğinden dolayı sürekli bir yerleşime sahne olmuştur. Yıldırım Bayezid döneminde Osmanlı idaresine geçen Nazilli, XVI. yüzyılın ilk yarısına ait tahrir defterlerinde yer almaya başlamıştır. Bu kaynaklarda Kestel kazâsına bağlı bir nefs olan şehir, çok geçmeden gelişerek kazâ statüsünde yer almıştır. İncelenen tarihte ise “Kestel nâm-ı diğer Nazilli” şeklinde Kestel isminin diğer adı olmuştur. XVI. yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren tutulmaya başlanan avârız defterlerinin Osmanlı demografi alanındaki çalışmalarda önemli arşiv malzemeleri arasında olduğu tartışılmaz bir gerçektir. Bu defterlerden biri olan Nazilli avârız defteri, 1699/1700 yılında Nazilli Kazâsı’na bağlı mahalleler ve köylere ait nüfus bilgilerini ihtiva etmektedir. Söz konusu çalışmada belirtilen zamanda Nazilli’deki yerleşim birimleri ve isimleri, burada yaşayan reaya ile muafların nüfusu ve bunların sosyal statülerine dair bilgiler ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır. Bölgesel bir özelliğe sahip olan bu çalışma ile özel anlamda Nazilli, genel anlamda ise Osmanlı demografi çalışmalarına bir katkı sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır. Ayrıca avârız defteri esas alınarak yapılan bu çalışma ile Nazilli’nin bu alana ait bir boşluğunun nâçizane doldurulması hedeflenmektedir.
Summary: The Nazis has since early times been one of the important places of gathering in the marketing of commercial goods in the region where it was located. The Nazilli, also known as Kestel during the Ottoman state, was a permanent settlement scene due to this commercial character. The Nazilli, who passed to the Ottoman administration during the Yıldırım Bayezid period, XVI. It began to appear in the first half of the century's thrust records. It is unquestionable that the archives that have begun to be kept since the end of the century are among important archive materials in the studies in the Ottoman demographic field. One of these records, the Nazilli Avariz register contains the population information of the neighborhoods and villages associated with the Nazilli Cazaci in 1699/1700. The study will try to reveal the units and names of settlements in Nazilli at the time specified, the reaya and the population of the expat and their social status. This study, which has a regional character, aims to provide a contribution to the work of Nazilli in particular and Ottoman demography in general. In addition, this work is based on the book of the worship, with the aim of filling an emptiness of Nazilli in this area.
