Abstract The aim of this article is to discuss the relationship between the curriculum of the Technical Health School of SUS - Blumenau/SC and teaching practices of the technical course in health surveillance, through analysis: a) of the process of curriculum development and its relation to Political Pedagogical Project; b) of the actual conditions or objective of education, with emphasis on school organization - their subjects, their complexities and routines. The qualitative analysis of the curriculum allows us to understand its construction and the features adopted in its development, denoting the wealth and the limits of training for the everyday actions of health. We obtained data on open interviews with the direction and focus group, with teachers and other graduates with the workers of the health surveillance. We note that the curriculum to achieve coordination with the practical knowledge we must reverse process and remain open to the new, ie contributions from outside the school environment.
