Abstract:

The study aims to examine the recreation-oriented work efficiency of municipal employees and to evaluate the differences between them with certain variables. In this context, while the employees of the institutions working in different positions in the municipalities in Ankara were included in the study, the data were obtained with the Recreation Focused Work Efficiency Scale consisting of 33 questions and 10 sub-dimensions developed by Mercanoğlu (2019), as well as the personal information form. The internal reliability coefficient for this study was determined as .98. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t test and one-way analysis of variance were used in the analysis of the data. Recreation-focused work efficiency of the participants is high (125.09±24.89), the highest sub-dimension score is well-being (11.19±2.53) and the lowest sub-dimension score is stress relief (11.44±2.50). It is seen that they achieve the size. On the other hand, significant differences were determined between gender, age, marital status, having children, having productive leisure time, staff status, free time, physical burden of work and recreation-oriented work efficiency. As a result of the research, it was determined that the recreation-oriented work efficiency level of women, single and childless participants, those under the age of 30 and in the status of civil servants, and those with low workloads were higher than the other participants.
