Hasan Sabri Ayvazov (1878-1938), Rusya sınırları içinde bulunan Kırım’ın Alupka şehrinde doğmuştur. Hayatı boyunca İsmail Gaspıralı’nın öğrencisi olarak Cedidci geleneğin içerinde yer almış, Gaspıralı’nın “dilde, fikirde, işte birlik” ideali çerçevesinde dil ve din birliğinin Türk dünyasının birleşmesindeki önemini vurgulamıştır. Kırım-Tatar hareketinin içerisinde aktif bir şekilde bulunan Hasan Sabri, hareketin faaliyetlerinin duyurulması ve tanıtılmasında yazdığı eserlerle birlikte parlamento başkanlığı ve elçilik gibi farklı faaliyet alanlarında etkili olmuştur. Dolayısıyla o, sadece bir ilim adamı değil, millî ve siyasî konularla yakından ilgilenen önemli bir şahsiyettir. Hasan Sabri’nin tarih, edebiyat, pedagoji gibi farklı alanlarda çok sayıda kitap ve risalesinin yanı sıra çeviri ve makaleleri de bulunmaktadır. Usûl-i Tedrîs ve Ta‘lîm Terbiye isimli risalesi eğitim açısından en dikkate değer çalışmasıdır. Bu çalışmada, Hasan Sabri’nin bu eserinde yer alan din eğitimiyle ilgili görüşleri nitel araştırma tekniklerinden içerik analizi kullanılarak tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Hasan Sabri, her ne kadar Kırım’da bulunan mekteplerde uzun yıllardır “usûl-i cedîde” benimsense de gereken ilerlemenin gerçekleştirilemediğini belirterek eserini bu probleme çare arama niyetiyle kaleme aldığını ifade etmektedir. Eserde eğitimle ilgili birçok konuya değinilmiştir. Ancak onun dinî ve millî eğitimi, eğitimin merkezine koyması en dikkat çeken noktalardan bir tanesidir. O ayrıca eğitim programı, eğitim ilke ve kuralları, yöntem-teknik gibi eğitimin temel unsurlarıyla ilgili düşünceleri içinde din eğitimiyle ilgili görüşlere de önemli oranda yer vermiştir. Onun din eğitimi anlayışında sadece dinî ilimlerin tekelci bir şekilde öğretildiği değil, aklî, alet ve dinî ilimlerin bir arada öğretildiği, farklı görüşleri de içine alabilen yenilikçi bir bakış açısının hâkim olduğu sonucuna ulaşılabilir.
Hasan Sabri Ayvazov (1878-1938) was born in the Crimean city of Alupka, located on the borders of Russia. As a student of Ismail Gaspirali, he took part in the uṣūl-i d̲j̲edīd tradition and emphasized the importance of language and religious unity in the unification of the Turkish world within the framework of Gaspirali’s ideal of “Unity in language, work and opinion”. Hasan Sabri, who was active in the Crimean-Tatar movement, was influential in various fields of activity such as the presidency of the parliament and the embassy, as well as his works written in the announcement and promotion of the activities of the movement. Therefore, he is not just a man of science, but an important figure who is closely interested in national and political issues. There are many books and pamphlets (risāle) by Hasan Sabri in different fields such as history, literature, pedagogy, as well as translations and articles. His pamphlet Uṣūl-i Tadrīs ve Talīm Tarbiye is the most remarkable work from the point of view of education. In this study, Hasan Sabri’s views on religious education will be determined by using content analysis, which is one of the qualitative research techniques. Hasan Sabri stated that although “uṣūl-i d̲j̲edīd” has been adopted in maktabs located in the Crimea for many years, the necessary progress has not been achieved, and that he wrote his pamphlet mainly for the purpose of finding a solution to this problem. Although many issues related to education are mentioned in the work, it is one of the most notable points that he puts religious and national education at the center of education. He also gave an important place to the views on religious education when talking about his ideas about the basic elements of education, such as the educational program, educational principles and rules, methods and techniques. It can be concluded that in his understanding of religious education, an innovative point of view prevails that can include different views, including not only the monopolistic teaching of religious sciences, but also the dec of mental, instrumental and religious sciences together.
