Abstract In this study, it was aimed to determine the fresh ear yield and yield-effective ear characteristics of some sweet corn genotypes (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt) in Harran Plain Conditions. The study was carried out in randomized blocks experimental design with 3 replications in the conditions of the Harran Plain in 2016 and 2017. Baron, Vega, Jubilee, GSS 5649 and Merit hybrid sweet corn varieties were used as a crop material in the study. features such as fresh ear length (cm), fresh ear diameter (mm), number of kernels per fresh ear (piece ear-1), fresh single ear weight (g), fresh ear yield (kg da-1) and fresh grain yield (kg da-1) were researched and found to be statistically significant (P≤0.01). According to the research results; it has been determined that the ear length was between 17.5 and 20.7 cm, the ear diameter was 35.0 and 44.9 mm, the number of kernels on the ear was 392.4 and 588.9. Fresh single ear weight ranged from 159 to 256 g, the fresh ear yield ranged from 1341 kg da-1 to 2005 kg da-1, and the fresh grain yield varied from 1005 to 1437 kg da-1. GSS 5649 variety, one of the sweet corn varieties used in the experiment, reached the highest values in both years in terms of the examined characteristics.
