Abstract:

This research aims to study Samed Behrengi's story books in terms of root values in their curricula. The research is designed according to the quality research method.  The data source of the research is made up of some of Samed Behrengi's story books. In the framework of the study, the author’s Little Black Fish, A Shepherd Thousand Shepherds and Pusküllü Deve book stories were studied. The research data was analyzed using the document analysis technique. Stories were studied according to the arrangement and control list created by the expert opinion. Each story book is studied separately by researchers. The results of the researchers are compared. The results of the comparison have taken the final form of analysis by making the necessary arrangements. This study examined the frequency of root values included in the teaching programs in Samed Behrengi's story books. According to the findings from the study, the root values in Samed Behrengi's story books have already been identified as at least correct, respectively, the values of self-control, love, responsibility, friendship, honesty, utility, justice, patience, respect, and respect. None of the three books that were studied in the framework of the research found the value of patriotism. In the Little Black Fish Book, 9 root values, 7 root values, and 9 root values are found in the A Shepherd Thousand Shepherd Book, and 9 root values are found in the Pusküllü Deve Book. The study found that nine of the ten root values were included in these three stories, and that the books contained expressions of at least seven root values, and that the Samed Behrengi stories could be used in the teaching of root values.
