Bu çalışma üniversite öğrencilerinin cinsel eğitime yönelik tutumları ve toplumsal cinsiyet algılarını araştırmak üzere yapılmıştır. Araştırma tanımlayıcı nitelikte olup araştırmanın örneklemini Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Bucak Sağlık Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören 364 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri kişisel bilgi formu, Cinsel Eğitime Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği ile toplandı. Araştırmanın verileri 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz döneminde öğrenim gören öğrencilerden ders saatleri dışında toplandı. Araştırmamıza katılan öğrencilerin %62.4’ü kız öğrenci, %73.6’sı hemşirelik bölümü öğrencisi, %68.1’i birinci öğretim, %39.8’i 1. sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilerin %42’sinin apartta kaldığı, %17.3’ünün herhangi bir iste çalıştığı, %72.3’ünün cinsel eğitim almadığı belirlenmiştir. Kız öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ölçeği puan ortalamasının erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Yine kız öğrencilerin cinsel eğitime yönelik tutum ölçeği puan ortalamasının erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca yaşamın büyük bir bölümünü köy ve kasabada geçiren öğrencilerin cinsel eğitime yönelik tutum ölçeği ve toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ölçeğinden aldıkları puan ortalamasının yaşamının büyük bir bölümünü il ve ilçede geçiren öğrencilerin puan ortalamasından daha düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak üniversite öğrencilerinin cinsiyeti, okuduğu sınıf, nerede kaldığı, anne ve baba mesleği, sigara kullanımı ve yaşamının büyük bölümünü nerede geçirdiğine dair özellikleri ile toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ve cinsel eğitime yönelik tutumlarının farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
This study was conducted to investigate the attitudes of university students towards sexual education and social gender perceptions. The research is characteristic and the sample of the research is made by 364 students studying at the University of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Bucak Health High School. The data of the study was collected with personal information form, the scale of attitude towards sexual education and the scale of social gender perception. The research data was collected from students who studied in the 2018-2019 educational year outside the class hours. 62.4% of the students who participated in our study consisted of girls, 73.6% of the nursing department students, 68.1% of the first-class students, and 39.8% of the first-class students. 42% of students stayed in apartments, 17. According to the report, 72.3 percent of those who did not receive sexual training. The scale of social gender perception of girls has been found that the average score is higher than the male students. The scale of girls’ attitude towards sexual education has been found to be higher than the average score of male students. It is also determined that the scale of attitude to sexual education and the scale of social gender perception of students who spend a large part of their lives in the village and towns are lower than the scale of students who spend a large part of their lives in the province and district. As a result, it has been determined that the gender of university students, the class they study, where they stay, the characteristics of the mother and father's profession, the smoking and where they spend much of their lives, and their social gender perception and attitudes towards sexual education are different.
In this study; university students' attitudes towards sexual education and gender perception were investigated. The sample of the descriptive research consisted of 364 students studying at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Bucak High School of Health. Data were collected through a personal information form, Inventory of The Attitude Toward Sexual Education and Gender Perception Scale. The data were collected outside the school hours for the students studying in the fall semester of 2018-2019 academic year. 62.4% of the students participating in our research, female students, 73.6% of the nursing department, 68.1% of primary education, 39.8% of first grade students consists of. 42% of the students stayed in the apartment, 17.3% were working, 72.3% did not receive sexual education. Female students' gender perception scale and inventory of the attitude toward sexual education were higher than male students. In addition, the mean score of the students who spent most of their lives in the village-town was based on the inventory of the attitude toward sexual education and the gender perception scale were found to be lower than the mean score of the students living in the province and district. As a result; it was determined sex, the class, where stayed, occupation, smoking and characteristics about spending most of their life and gender attitudes and attitudes towards sexual education differed.
