Varoluşçuluk, başka hiçbir felsefi akımda olmadığı kadar edebiyat üzerinden ilerleyen bir akımdır. Bu durum, edebiyat dünyasında iki şekilde karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bunlardan ilki, Jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus gibi kimi varoluşçu filozofların kendi varoluşçuluk anlayışlarını çoğu zaman doğrudan roman, tiyatro, hikâye gibi edebi türler üzerinden anlatmaları şeklindedir. Sözgelimi Sartre’ın Akıl Çağı, Bulantı, Duvar; Camus ’nün Yabancı, adlı eserleri bahsettiğimiz bu tipten yansımanın en tipik örnekleridir. Varoluşçuluğun edebiyata yansımasının bir diğer şekli de varoluşçuluğun doğrudan hayattan beslenen bir akım olmasından ötürü, hayatı ve insanı tüm yönleriyle anlatmaya çalışan sanatçıların eserlerinde varoluşçu fenomenlerin, eşyanın tabiatı gereği içkin bir şekilde yer alması sonucu ortaya çıkar. Bu makalede, farklı anlatım teknikleri kullanarak bireyi tüm yönleriyle anlatmayı amaçlayan Oğuz Atay’ın Tutunamayanlar ve Tehlikeli Oyunlar romanlarında varoluşsal değeri olan kaygı ve özgürlük fenomenleri incelenecektir. Bu tahlil yapılırken de kaygı ve özgürlük fenomenleri ayrı ayrı değil birbirleriyle olan ilişkileri üzerinden değerlendirilecektir. Bu amaçla ilk önce Jean Paul Sartre, Martin Heidegger, Soren Kierkegaard gibi varoluşçu filozofların eserlerinde birlikte ele aldıkları bu fenomenlere nasıl baktıkları açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır. Ardından da bu fenomenlerin Tutunamayanlar ve Tehlikeli Oyunlar’da nasıl ortaya çıktığı tartışılacaktır. Yazarın bir diğer romanı olan Bir Bilim Adamının Romanı adlı eser otobiyografik tarzda yazıldığı için inceleme dışı tutulmuştur.
Existentialism is a movement that progresses through literature more than any other philosophical movements. This situation appears in two ways in the literary world. The first is that some existential philosophers such as Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus often express their understanding of existentialism directly through literary genres such as novels, plays, and stories. For example, Sartre's The Age of Reason, Nausea, The Wall and Camus's The Stranger are the most typical examples of this kind of reflection. Another form of existentialism’s reflection in literature is that existentialism is a movement that feeds directly from life. It is the result of the existential phenomenon inherently taking place in the works of artists who try to explain life and people in all aspects according to the law of instrument. In this article, the phenomena of anxiety and freedom that have an existential value in the novels The Untold and Dangerous Games by Father, who aims to explain the individual in all aspects by using different narration techniques, will be investigated. While doing this analysis, anxiety and freedom phenomena will not be evaluated separately, but through their relationships with each other. For this purpose, firstly, it will be explained how the existentialist philosophers such as Jean Paul Sartre, Martin Heidegger, Soren Kierkegaard look at these phenomena in their works. Then, how these phenomena emerged in Untold and Dangerous Games will be discussed.
