Giriş ve Amaç: Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde uygulanan sosyal izolasyon ve sokağa çıkma kısıtlaması, bireysel ve toplumsal yaşamda bazı değişikliklere yol açarak toplum yaşamını çeşitli şekillerde etkilemiştir. Bu süreçte, birçok kişide yalnızlık, çaresizlik, korku ve kaygı düzeyleri artmıştır. Bu çalışma, Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde yaşanan sosyal izolasyonun hemşirelik öğrencileri üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu niteliksel araştırma, 8 Mayıs-15 Haziran 2020 tarihleri arasında Türkiye’nin güneydoğusundaki bir devlet üniversitesinin hemşirelik bölümü 4. sınıfında okuyan ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 49 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış olan ve toplam sekiz sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya ait veriler, tümevarım yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Veri çözümlenmesi araştırmacılar tarafından elde kodlama ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen verilere göre, 3 ana tema ve 8 alt tema belirlenmiştir. Öğrenciler sosyal izolasyon süreci nedeniyle; ‘Davranışsal Belirtiler’, ‘Sosyal Belirtiler’, ‘Fizyojik Belirtiler’ ve ‘Psikolojik Belirtiler’ alt temalarında stres belirtileri tariflemişlerdir. İzolasyon sürecinin öğrencilerin hayatına etkisi ‘Olumlu Etkiler’ ve ‘Olumsuz Etkiler’ olmak üzere iki alt temada incelenmiştir. Pandemi sürecinde öğrencilerin hemşirelik mesleğine ilişkin görüşleri ‘Hemşirelik Mesleğine İlişkin Pozitif Düşünceler’ ve ‘Hemşirelik Mesleğine İlişkin Negatif Düşünceler’ alt temalarında gruplandırılmıştır. Sonuç: Geleceğin sağlık profesyoneli olan hemşirelik öğrencilerinin Covid-19 pandemisi sosyal izolasyon sürecinde stres kaynaklı davranışsal, sosyal, fizyolojik ve psikolojik bir takım sorunlar yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir. Bu süreçte öğrencilerin hayatlarının hem olumlu hem de olumsuz olarak etkilendiği ve pandemi sürecinin öğrencilerin hemşirelik ile ilgili düşüncelerini de etkilediği belirlenmiştir.
Introduction and Purpose: The social isolation and limitation of the outlet, applied during the Covid-19 pandemic process, has influenced the community life in various ways, leading to some changes in the individual and social life. In this process, many people have increased their levels of loneliness, disappointment, fear and anxiety. This study was conducted to determine the effects of social isolation on nursing students during the Covid-19 pandemic process. Tools and Methods: This qualified research was conducted with 49 students studying in the 4th grade of the nursing department of a state university in the southeastern part of Turkey between May 8 and June 2020. The study used a semi-configured conversation form, which was prepared by researchers as a data collection tool and consisted of a total of eight questions. The data of the research was analyzed by the tuberculosis method. Data analysis was carried out by coding obtained by researchers. Results: According to the data obtained from interviews with students, 3 main themes and 8 sub themes have been determined. Due to the social isolation process, students have prescribed stress symptoms in the sub-themes of 'Behavioral Signs', 'Social Signs', 'Physical Signs' and 'Psychological Signs'. The impact of the isolation process on the life of students has been studied in two sub-themes, ‘Sensitive Effects’ and ‘Sensitive Effects’. The opinions of students on the nursing profession during the pandemic process were grouped into the sub-themes 'Positive thoughts on the nursing profession' and 'Negative thoughts on the nursing profession'. The result: Nursing students, who are the future health professionals, have been determined to experience a series of behavioral, social, physiological and psychological problems caused by stress during the Covid-19 pandemic social isolation process. In this process, it has been determined that students’ lives are both positively and negatively affected and that the pandemic process also affects students’ thoughts about nursing.
