ÖZET Bu vaka çalışması “Posttravmatik epilepsi (PTE)” tanısı ile acil servise başvuran adölesan dönemindeki hastanın hemşirelik bakım yönetiminin Orem’in “Bakım Yetersizlik Kuramı’na” göre sunulması amacıyla planlanmıştır. Kuramın her basamağı hastanın verileri üzerinden özetlenmiştir. Hastanın öz bakım gereksinimlerini üç temel faktör etkilemiştir: adölesan dönemde olma, PTE tanısı alma, nöbetlerin özellikleri. Bu verilere dayanarak hemşirelik girişimleri tanımlanmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: bakım, adölesan, posttravmatik epilepsi, hemşirelik bakımı   ABSTRACT Orem’s Self-Care Deficit Theory of Nursing and Nursing Care in Posttraumatic Epilepsy This case-study presents the nursing care of an adolescent patient who was admitted to the emergency room with “posttraumatic epilepsy (PTE)” using Orem’s “Self-care Deficit Theory”. Each step of the theory will be summarized in accordance with the patient data. Three main factors influenced the patient’s self care needs; being in the adolescent stage of growth and development, having a diagnosis of PTE and the characteristics of his seizures.
