Osmanlı yargı sisteminin en önemli temsilcisi olan kadı tarafından verilen bütün kararlar ve muhtelif dönemlerdeki resmi kayıtları içeren belgelerin suretleri “Şerʽiyye Sicili” denilen defterlere kaydedilirdi. Şerʽiyye sicilleri, Osmanlı Devleti’nin siyasi, askeri, iktisadi, sosyal ve kültürel yapısının ortaya konulmasında birinci elden kaynaklar arasında yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada, M. 1679-1683 (H.1089-1092) tarihli Harput Şer’iyye Sicilinin tanıtımı yapılmış ve içerdiği belgelerin konularına göre fihristi verilmiştir.
All the decisions made by the woman, an important representative of the Ottoman judicial system, and the forms of documents containing official records in various periods were recorded in the records called "Sherbish Register". The records of Sherbajdžan are among the first-hand sources in the discovery of the political, military, economic, social and cultural structure of the Ottoman State. In this study, the Harput Sheriff of M. 1679-1683 (H.1089-1092) was introduced to the Registry and the documents contained in it were granted a guarantee according to the subjects.
