Abstract:

Bayburt is located within the transit area between the Eastern Anadolu Region and the Eastern Black Sea Region. It is an important centre of trade and culture in history. Researchers have shown that the Bayburt settlement, which has been studied many times from different aspects, has not been referred to to its traditional houses. Therefore, the aim of this study, which was launched with the aim of removing the plan typology, which is a step in the lighting of the unknown characteristics of traditional Bayburt houses, is to fulfill our task of transferring our cultural heritage in the Bayburt settlement to future generations and to bring the local people to the awareness of the protection of the cultural heritage. In this context, it is to ensure that traditional houses are integrated with contemporary life by protecting them, to ensure that in newly constructed buildings in the settlement area and around them, the typology of this plan to be drawn and the forms of organization of the places that make the house are compatible with the old fabric and to prevent the destruction of traditional houses between the new structures. For this purpose, the plan schemes of the houses taken into the scope of research have been attempted to create typology and the forms of organization of the premises that form the house and the factors that are effective in this organization have been determined. At the end of this study, the houses were divided into three groups, taking into account the implemented plan schemes.
