Mucoceles are benign, locally expansile masses that develop after partial or complete obstruction of the paranasal sinus ostium. While they are most commonly located in the frontal sinus, maxillary sinus is rarely involved. Symptoms are due to expansion and pressure to the surrounding structures. If the content of mucocele is purulent, it is referred as pyocele. Recently, mucoceles have been succesfully treated with minimal morbidity by transnasal endoscopic approach. We presented two cases of maxillary sinus pyocele cases causing nasal obstruction due to expansion to the nasal cavity, which were treated with endoscopic marsupalization.
