Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the problems experienced in guidance and psychological counseling services in basic education with the meta-synthesis method. In this context, with the help of the keywords such as "problems in psychological counseling", "guidance services in primary school", ‘'preschool guidance services problems'’, ‘'guidance and psychological counseling services in preschool education problems'’, ‘'guidance and psychological counseling services in secondary school’', ‘'guidance and psychological counseling services’', ‘'guidance services’', ‘'guidance and psychological counseling services’’ and ‘’'guidance problems in basic education’'; The database has been scanned on the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education, Google Academic, TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM (National Academic Network and Information Center) and Social and Human Sciences Database. As a result of the scans, 27 articles, 8 master's theses and 1 paper that meet the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Meta-synthesis method was used in the study and the obtained data were analyzed by inductive content analysis. Frequency tables related to main themes, themes, codes and problems were created in line with the examinations made. Considering the results of the research, the problems experienced in the guidance and psychological counseling services in basic education are discussed under six headings. When these six titles are evaluated in line with the data obtained; It covers themes such as system problems, problems related to cooperation, duties and responsibilities of guidance and psychological counseling services, the function of guidance and psychological counseling services, problems arising from psychological counselor and physical conditions. In the light of the findings obtained as a result of the research, it was determined that the problem area with the highest frequency was system problems, and the least problematic area was physical conditions.
