Abstract:

The research aims to shed light on the importance of the mind mapping strategy and its effective role in developing the cognitive achievement of foreign students in learning and teaching Arabic grammar, especially the grammatical, morphological, and orthographic sections that suit the level of the student at each stage of learning and teaching. The research also took the descriptive approach as a way to address its topics which were determined as grammar, morphology, and dictation using the mind mapping strategy and the extent of its impact on cognitive achievement among non-native Arabic language learners. Among the findings of the research: The strategy of mind maps or concept maps is one of the most important modern strategies that activates the student’s mind and helps him understand and assimilate the information quickly and keep it in his mind for a longer period, while the student does not feel bored or difficulty in the study material, as well as facilitating the arrangement of information and being able to reach it in a better way and with less effort, and what was recommended by the research; necessity to use this strategy in lessons for learning and teaching Arabic grammar due to its effectiveness and the extent of its impact on the foreign student and his acquisition of the second foreign language, especially grammar, morphology, and dictation, since it is the basis for arranging speech in the mind on the scale of the word, the sentence, application, understanding, and communication.
