Gayb, üzerinde tartışmaların en fazla yapıldığı konulardan birisidir. Çünkü insanın doğasında bilinmeyene, görünmeyene, esrarlı olana karşı bir merak duygusu bulunmaktadır. İnsanın bu merak duygusu, onu sürekli olarak görünenin ötesiyle ilgilenmeye yönlendirmiştir. Bu durum, cin ve rûh gibi varlıklardan gaybî bilgiler aldıklarını ve böylece gaybı bildiklerini öne sürerek maddi ve manevi çıkarlar sağlayan şaman, kâhin ve müneccim gibi birçok istismarcı kimselerin ortaya çıkmasına sebep olmuştur. İslam dinine göre cinlerin varlığı Kur’ân ayetleri ile tespit edilmektedir. Fakat cinlerin gaybı bildiklerini belirten herhangi bir ayet bulunmamaktadır. Öte yandan gaybın mutlak gayb, izafi gayb şeklindeki taksimatı göz önünde bulundurulduğunda gayb bilgisine ulaşmanın imkânı bakımından insanlar ve cinler arasında bir takım farklılıkların olduğu da görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla cinlerin hangi gaybî bilgilere ulaşmalarının mümkün olup olmadığı sorunsalı bir problem olarak cevap beklemektedir. Çalışmamızda bu problem Kur’ân bağlamında cevaplandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Buna göre cinlerin, izâfi gayb kısmına giren konularda bazı bilgilere sınırlı olarak ulaşabileceklerinin imkân dâhilinde olduğu düşünülmektedir.
The unseen (gayb) is one of the most discussed topics. Because in human nature, there is a sense of curiosity towards the unknown, the unseen and the mysterious. This sense of curiosity of man has led him to be constantly interested in the beyond. This situation has led to the emergence of many abusive people such as shamans, soothsayers and astrologers who gain material and spiritual benefits by claiming that they receive information about the unseen from beings such as jinn and spirits and thus know the unseen. According to the religion of Islam, the existence of jinn is determined by the verses of the Qurʾān. However, there is no verse stating that jinn know the unseen. However, when the division of the unseen as the absolute unseen and the relative unseen is taken into account, it is seen that there are some differences between humans and jinn in terms of the possibility of accessing the knowledge of the unseen. Accordingly, the question whether it is possible for the jinn to reach the unseen information awaits an answer as a problem. In this study, this problem has been tried to be answered in the context of the Qurʾān. Accordingly, it is thought that it is possible for the jinn to have limited access to some information on the subjects that are in the relative unseen.
