Abstract:

This study was carried out in Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Vocational Health and Safety Associate Degree Program in order to evaluate how the viewpoints perspective on occupational health and safety changed as a result of the education and training process. The universe of the research is composed of second class students studying in the mentioned program and at the same time the first class students who are new to this program. The sample of the study consisted of 61 students. In order to collect the data of the study, “Social Security Perceptions of University Students Scale” was used. The scale used in the research is five-point Likert type. The data obtained from the study were analyzed by using “SPSS for Windows 22.0 program. Mann-Whitney U Test was chosen to test the significance of the difference between two independent groups. According to the results of the study, it was determined that there was a significant difference in occupational health and safety perception between 2nd year students and 1st grade students. Moreover, it was concluded that the occupational health and safety perception of the students in the second year is higher than the 1st grade students. In this study, it can be said that the reason for this height is the lessons and education they took in the first grade.
