Abstract:

Toxoplasmosis is a disease that is created by the compulsory cell-in-protozon Toxoplasma gondii, which leads to significant losses in humans and small-head ruminants. In this study, the animal potential is high in the Egean region of Izmir and the surrounding five provinces of the abortion story of the small-scale animal enterprises have been scanned. In total, from 15, a single-year-old and over 166 small-headed animals (118 goats and 48 goats) blood serums have been collected. Through the ELISA test, anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies were studied and 11 (73.3%) in the plant were found positive in 34 small animals (20.48) and four in the plant were not identified anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies. Positiveness rates at species levels were 14.4 percent in sheep and 35.42 percent in goats. As a result of this study, the prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii antibodies in cows and goats, which have a complaint of abortion in the provinces of İzmir and the surrounding region, has been identified as well as the potential field reflection of abortion problems caused by Toxoplasma gondii. In future studies, the importance of taking into account parasitic factors in the research of waste factors in the Egean region has been established.
