ÖZ Amaç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik sürecinin veri toplama aşamasına ilişkin görüşlerini ve bu konuda yaşadıkları güçlükleri belirlemektir. Yöntem: Bu tanımlayıcı araştırmanın evrenini, 2014-2015 güz döneminde Bolu’daki bir Sağlık Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören birinci sınıflar hariç 388 hemşirelik öğrencisi örneklemini ise 216 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan soru formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin veri toplamanın hemşirelik sürecinin önemli bir aşaması olduğunu (%92.6) ve iletişim becerilerinin veri toplamayı etkilediğini (%91.7) düşündüğü belirlenmiştir. Öğrenciler en çok beslenme-metabolizma (%36,1) ile sağlığı algılama-sağlığın yönetimi (%30,6) örüntülerine ilişkin veri toplayabildiklerini veri toplarken sıklıkla hastayı (%84.3) ve hasta dosyasını (%41.7) kaynak olarak kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Öğrencilerin %69.4’ü veriyi kaydetme (%43.5), hemşirelerin tutumu (%34.7), veri kaynaklarına ulaşma (%33.3) ve hasta ile iletişim kurma (%33.3) gibi nedenlerle güçlük yaşadıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Öğrenciler yaşadıkları güçlüklerin çözümüne ilişkin veri kaynakları ve eğitim programı ile ilgili önerilerde bulunmuşlardır. Sonuç: Öğrencilerin veri toplamanın hemşirelik sürecinin önemli bir aşaması olduğunu, iletişim becerilerinin veri toplamayı etkilediğini düşündüğü ve bu aşamada çeşitli nedenlerle güçlük yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir Anahtar Kelimeler: Hemşirelik Hemşirelik Süreci Hemşirelik Öğrencileri Veri Toplama ABSTRACT Difficulties Experienced by Nursing Students on The Data Collection Step of The Nursing Process Aim: To identify the opinions and the difficulties experienced by nursing students on data collection step of the nursing process. Methods: The population of the descriptive study was constituted by 388 nursing students studying at a Health School in Bolu in the fall term of 2014-2015 except for first year students and the sample was 216 students. The data were collected using the questionnaire prepared by the researchers to the literature. Results: : It was found that the students thought data collection as an important step of nursing process (92.6%) and communication skills effected data collection (91.7%). Students reported that they were able to frequently collect data on nutrition-metabolism (36.1%) and health perception-health management (30.6%), and they used the patient (84.3%) and medical records (41.7%) as sources when collecting data. 69.4% of the students stated that had difficulty about recording the data (43.5%), nurses' attitude (34.7%), reaching the data source (33.3%) and communicating with the patient (33.3%). Students have made suggestions on data sources and training programs to solve the difficulties they have experienced. Conclusion: It has been determined that students thought data collection as an important step of nursing process, communication skills effected data collection and they have had difficulties on collecting data during the nursing process due to various reasons. The purpose is to identify the students’ opinions about the data collection stage of the nursing process and the difficulties they experience in this regard. Method: The universe of this identifiable research was formed by 388 nursing students except the first-class students who studied at a Health High School in Bolu in the 2014-2015 year; 216 students. The data was collected using the question form prepared by the researchers according to literature. Results: Students have found that data collection is an important stage in the nursing process (%92.6) and that their communication skills affect data collection (%91.7). Students noted that they were able to collect data on the examples of multi-nutrition-metabolism (36.1%) and health perception-health management (30.6%); they often used the patient (84.3%) and the patient file (41.7%) as a source when collecting data. 69.4 percent of students said they had difficulty with data recording (43.5 percent), nurses’ attitude (34.7 percent), access to data sources (33.3 percent) and communication with the patient (33.3 percent). Students have given advice on data sources and training program on the solution of the difficulties they experience.
