Kurumsal Sosyal Sorumluluk Çerçevesinde İşletme-Sivil Toplum Kuruluşları İşbirliklerinin Dinamikleri: Türkiye Örneği

Her geçen gün daha da yaygınlaşan kurumsal sosyal sorumluk uygulamaları, sivil toplum kuruluşlarını işletmeler için önemli bir stratejik ortak konumuna taşımıştır. Bu çerçevede çalışma, işletmelerin kaynak sürdürebilirliği ve toplumsal refahı sağlamak amacıyla gerçekleştirdikleri kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk faaliyetleri çerçevesinde sivil toplum kuruluşlarıyla yaptıkları iş birliklerini etkileyen faktörleri incelemektedir. Çalışmada öncelikle kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk alanının gelişiminde işletme-sivil toplum kuruluşları iş birliklerinin rolü tartışılmış, ardından finansal performansın, yasal çerçevenin ve sektörün bu iş birlikleri üstündeki etkileri analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma soruları, Borsa İstanbul Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksinde yer alan işletmelerin 2009-2016 dönemi yıllık faaliyet raporları ve finansal raporları kullanılarak oluşturan panel veri setine ikili lojistik regresyon analizi uygulanarak cevaplanmıştır. Yapılan analizler, satış karlılığı arttıkça, işletme-sivil toplum kuruluşları iş birliklerinin arttığını göstermiştir. İmalat sanayinde faaliyet gösteren işletmelerin sivil toplum kuruluşlarıyla geliştirdikleri iş birliklerinin diğer sektörlere göre sayıca daha yüksek olduğu bir diğer araştırma bulgusudur. Ayrıca, faaliyet raporlarında sosyal sorumluluk projelerine yer verilmesinin önerildiği yasal tebliğin bu iş birlikleri üstünde bir etkisinin olmadığı görülmüştür.

Corporate Social Responsibility in the framework of Business-Civil Society Organizations Cooperation Dynamics: Turkey Example

The increasingly prevalent practices of corporate social responsibility have moved civil society organizations into an important strategic partner for. In this context, the study examines the factors affecting the work unions they do with civil society organizations in the framework of the corporate social responsibility activities they carry out in order to ensure resource sustainability and social welfare. The study first discussed the role of business-civil society organizations trade unions in the development of the field of corporate social responsibility, then analyzed the financial performance, the legal framework and the impact of the sector on these trade unions. Research questions were answered by applying dual logistics regression analysis to the panel data set created by using the 2009-2016 period annual activity reports and financial reports of enterprises listed in the Stock Exchange Istanbul Sustainability Index. Analysis has shown that as sales profitability increases, business-civil society organizations have increased their trade unions. Another research finds that the business that operates in the manufacturing industry with civil society organizations develops a number higher than the other sectors. Moreover, the legal notice suggested to include social responsibility projects in activity reports has not been shown to have an impact on these trade unions.

The current research investigates the factors affecting the collaborations that the firms establish with civil society organizations with the goal of achieving resource sustainability and social welfare. This article business discusses the role of business-civil society organization collaborations in the development of corporate social responsibility and then analyzes the effects of financial performance, legal framework, and the firm's sector on firm-civil society organization collaborations. In order to answer the research questions, this research analyzes a panel data set which was created based on the 2009-2016 annual activity reports of the firms in the Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index. Binary logistic regression was used in the analysis of the data. The analysis revealed that return on sales has a positive effect on business-civil society organization collaborations. The analysis also showed that the number of business-civil society organization collaborations is higher in manufacturing industry, whereas the legal framework that proposes the inclusion of corporate social responsibility projectsin the annual activity reports of the firms does not have any effect on these collaborations
