Giriş: Anne-bebek bağlanması, zaman içinde gelişen ve birçok etkenden etkilenebilen özel bir ilişkidir. Yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde bakım ve tedavi almak zorunda olan bebeklerin anne-bebek bağlanma süreci etkilenebilmektedir. Bu araştırma, anne bebek bağlanma düzeyini etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Gereç-Yöntem: Çalışmaya bebeği üçüncü düzey yenidoğan ünitesinde tedavi gören, herhangi bir iletişim problemi olmayan, okuma ve yazma bilen ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 141 anne katılmıştır. Etik kurul ve kurum izni alınan araştırma için annelerden yazılı onam alınmıştır. Veriler, anne ve bebeklere ilişkin tanıtıcı özellikler formu ve Maternal Bağlanma Ölçeği (MBÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Kruskal Wallis ve Mann Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Annelerin MBÖ puan ortalamasının 99.48±6.26 olduğu, erken doğum yapan, doğum sonu bebeğini hiç kucağına alamayan ve bebeğini hiç emziremeyen annelerin MBÖ puan ortalamasının daha düşük, bebeğinin doğum ağırlığı ≥2501 gr olan ve doğumdan sonra bebeği evde bir süre kalan annelerin puanlarının ise daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir (sırasıyla; p<0.001, p<0.001, p=0.001, p<0.001, p=0.048). Sonuç: Maternal bağlanmayı etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenerek annelerin desteklenmesi, erken dönemde anne bebek etkileşiminin başlatılması ve sürdürülmesi önerilmektedir. Objective: Mother-infant attachment is a special relationship that develops over time and can be affected by many factors. The mother-infant bonding process of infants who have to receive care and treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit may be affected. This study was conducted as a descriptive study in order to examine the factors affecting the mother-infant attachment level. Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 141 mothers whose infants were treated in the tertiary neonatal unit, had no communication problems, could read and write, and agreed to participate in the study. Written informed consent was obtained from the mothers for the study, for which ethics committee and institutional permission were obtained. Data were collected with the Questionnaire Form and the Maternal Attachment Scale (MBI). Descriptive statistics, Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney U tests were used to evaluate the data. Results: The MDI mean score of the mothers was 99.48±6.26. The MDI mean score of the mothers who gave birth prematurely (preterm), who could not hold their baby at all after birth and who could never breastfeed were low, although the MDI mean score of the mothers who infant had a birth weight of ≥2501 g and who infant stayed at home for a while after delivery were high (respectively p=0.000, p=0.000, p=0.001, p=0.000, p=0.048). Conclusions: It is suggested to support the mother by determining the factors affecting the maternal attachment and to initiate and maintain the mother infant interaction in the early period.
