Introduction: In sport, tactical ability and quality of decision making are requirements for good performance. The creation of tests to verify this behavior in the specific context of each modality is necessary. Objective: Perform the content validity of scenes to assess declarative tactical knowledge in beach volleyball. Materials and methods: Three experts with different qualifications and at least 10 years of experience in the sport participated in the study. The experts analyzed the concordance of 103 attack scenes and used a 5-point likert scale to assess the scenes using the criteria of image clarity, practical relevance, and item representativity. The content validity coefficient (CVC) was used to determine the CVC for each scene and the instrument, adopting 0.80 as the cutoff point. Results: All criteria obtained values higher than the pre-established minimum. Obtaining the image clarity CVC=0.90 and the criteria of practical relevance and item representativity CVC=091, demonstrating high content validity. Conclusion: Considering the ecological validity, expressed by the convergence between the experts' decision and the action taken by the athlete, as well as the CVC calculations used, the process concludes with 21 validated attack scenes for assessing declarative tactical knowledge in beach volleyball, showing itself relevant to a pedagogical process in sport, greater depth on cognitive aspects of the sport and for improving the level of understanding of athletes' decision making.
