Abstract:

In order to get a share from the national income obtained, the people who are authorized to distribute the income should use it in favor of the needy citizen. Accountability of public resources for the realization of financial transparency as set forth in 5018 must be spent according to public financial management and transparency principles. Both accountability and law fulness must be fulfilled while usingpublic resources. Other wise, waste of money and corruption is prevented by spending public resources for places that are both illegal and economically inappropriate. The aim of the study selected 12 countries (Turkey, Denmark, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the Netherlands, Hungary and the United States) is to demonstrate the causal relationship between corruption and economic growth. Inthe panel data analysis, data coveringtheyears 1995-2018 wereusedfor 12 selectedcountries. Corruption perception index, which is calculated by the International Transparency Organization every year, has been used as the corruption data and the data set has been reached from the official internet address https://www.transparency.org/. Economic growth data were obtained from the official website of the world bank https://data.worldbank.org/. The causality relationship between the series was examined with an asymmetrical structure. First, the causality relationship found in one direction was found bidirectional after examining with asymmetric structure.
