Yukarıdaki başlıkta, karşılaştırmalı sosyal politika, tanımlanmak istenmiştir. Sözlükte bu konuyla ilgili net bir tanım sunulmamaktadır. Bunun nedeni, tanımlamaya yönelik herhangi bir girişimin bulunmaması, bir veya iki paragraflık boşluk içindeki terimin açıklamaya karşılık gelmemesidir. Bu sadece bileşik bir terimi karakterize etmedeki zorluk nedeniyle değil, aynı zamanda her iki unsurun da tartışmalı doğasından kaynaklıdır. Sosyal politikanın odağı ve karşılaştırmalı yaklaşım olarak düşünülebilmektedir. Sosyal Politika akademik disiplin midir yoksa bir çalışma alanı mıdır? Hangi özel programlar sosyal politika olarak görülmelidir ve hangisi bu özel programlarda olmamalıdır? Karşılaştırmalı sosyal politika analizi nedir ve sosyal bilimlerdeki stratejiler, diğer nitel veya nicel araştırmalardan farklı mıdır? Açık veya örtük olarak, doğası gereği karşılaştırmalı olmayan bilimsel araştırma var mıdır? Bu çalışmada, yer verilecek tanımsal problemlerden bazılarına değinilmiştir. Karşılaştırmalı sosyalliğin ne olduğunu açıklayabilmek için kapsamlı bir iddiada bulunulmamaktadır, bunun yerine daha yerleşik bir politika üzerinde durularak, tanımsal haritalama uygulamasına girmenin sınırları yerine oturttuğu nihayetinde belirsiz ve şekilsiz, maddi ve metodolojik sınırlara yer verdiği ortaya konmuştur. Karşılaştırmalı sosyal politika yalnızca büyümekle kalmamıştır, yaklaşık son otuz yılda muazzam bir şekilde, sınırlarını da genişleterek yayılım göstermiştir. Yapılan bu çalışmada, sosyal bilimler alanında yaygın olarak kullanılan derleme çalışma modellerinden olan “belgesel kaynak derlemesi modeli” kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda öncelikli olarak konu ile ilgili olarak literatürde yer alan çalışmalara ulaşılmış, ulaşılan araştırma bulguları derlenerek rapor haline getirilmiştir. Yapılan literatür taramasının sonunda bu araştırmanın, literatürdeki boşluğu doldurması hedeflenmektedir.
In the above headline, comparative social policy, is wanted to be defined. There is no clear description of this subject in the dictionary. This is due to the absence of any attempt to define, the absence of the description of the term within one or two paragraphs. This is not only due to the difficulty in characterizing a compound term, but also due to the controversial nature of both elements. It can be considered as the center of social policy and a comparative approach. Is social policy an academic discipline or a field of study? What special programs should be considered as social policy and which should not be in these special programs? What is comparative social policy analysis and are social sciences strategies different from other qualitative or quantitative research? Is there, openly or covered, uncomparable scientific research by nature? In this study, some of the defining problems that will be addressed. There is no comprehensive claim to explain what comparative socialism is, but it is found that it, instead of focusing on a more integrated policy, endorses the limits of entering the practice of descriptive maping and ultimately places in uncertain and unformed, material and methodological limits. The comparative social policy has not only grown, it has been widely spread over the past thirty years, expanding its boundaries as well. In this study, the "documentary resource collection model" was used from the collective work models commonly used in the field of social science. In this context, it is primarily achieved in the literature related studies, the achieved research findings are collected into a report. At the end of the literary scan, this research is aimed at filling the emptiness in literature.

Is there scientific research, explicitly or implicitly, that is not comparative in nature? In this study, some of the definitional problems to be included are mentioned. There is no comprehensive claim to explain what comparative sociability is, but rather a more established policy, it has been shown that entering into the practice of descriptive mapping puts the boundaries in place, and ultimately, it places ambiguous and formless, material and methodological boundaries. Comparative social policy has not only grown, but has expanded enormously over the last three decades, extending its borders. In this study, "documentary source compilation model", one of the compilation study models widely used in the field of social sciences, was used. In this context, studies in the literature on the subject were reached primarily, and the findings of the research were compiled and reported. At the end of the literature review, this research is aimed to fill the gap in the literature.
