Abstract:

In this study, during the Covid-19 pandemic process seen in our country and around the world, the aim is to reveal the general opinions of social information and science teachers candidates about Covid-19. The candidates were also asked about what measures they thought the Covid-19 epidemic could be stopped, how long the Covid-19 epidemic would last in our country, and the opinions on the online training used during the epidemic. In the study, one of the qualitative research methods of the fact scientific design was used. The participants of the study are formed by 27 teachers candidates from a state university located in Istanbul, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Social Information and the Faculty of Sciences. Half-configured talks were held with the teachers candidates. For use in these conversations, the six material conversation forms are prepared as a data collection tool. The data obtained is analyzed using the imagistic analysis technique. According to the findings, teachers refer to the general definitions such as a virus that can spread quickly and easily for the virus that causes the epidemic, a virus that affects the whole world mainly, social measures must be taken and seriously followed, social distance should be protected, unless necessary should not be out, the epidemic may end at the earliest end of the summer with measures, but after this epidemic will be a decrease in the behaviors that require reduction and contact in social relationships, the considerable advances in online education have been recorded despite all the negatives but, despite all, face-to-face education cannot be fulfilled.
