Abstract:

Sufism has benefited from various means’ as well as fine arts in order to achieve its purpose. In this context, as a result of the strong relationship between Sufism and music, throughout the history of Turkish music, many musicians from religious order circles have been trained, and dervish lodges have been among the most important environments where music is performed. In line with the needs and habits of the tekke environment, tekke music has emerged, shaped by each order's manners and practices. As the caliph of Sheikh Abdurrahman Sâmî Saruhânî, Halvetî-Uşşâkî sheikh Bekir Sıdkı Visâlî is a sufi who has produced works in various fields. Sheikh Bekir Sıdkı Visâlî, while conducting his guiding activities, he used music in addition to means such as poetry and meetings, and composed religious works in various makams and forms. This study aims to introduce Sheikh Bekir Sıdkı Visâlî's side of music, in addition to his ten religious music compositions that could be determined by us, in various forms and rhythms, which have not been published until now; and to bring the knowledge to the science and art community with the performance context of the works he composed.now, to the science and art community.
