Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, okullardaki yönetim süreçlerinin sağlıklı ve verimli olması için okul yöneticilerinin yönetim tarzlarına ilişkin öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre saptamaktır. Araştırma nicel bir araştırma olup tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın evrenini, Kayseri ili merkez ilçelerinde (Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, İncesu ve Hacılar) 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında görev yapan 8333 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise, %5 gösterilebilir hata payı ile 367 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verileri “Okul yöneticilerinin sergilediği yönetim tarzları” ölçeği ile toplanmış olup veriler t-Testi, Anova, Scheffe ve Mann-Whitney-U testleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda öğretmen görüşlerine göre Kayseri ili Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, İncesu ve Hacılar ilçelerinde görev yapan temel eğitim okulları okul yöneticilerinin öğretmen görüşlerine göre en fazla demokratik yönetim tarzını benimsedikleri, bunu sırasıyla otokratik yönetim tarzının izlediği, yöneticilerin en az ise ilgisiz yönetim tarzını benimsedikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırma sonuçlarına göre, erkek öğretmenlerin kadın öğretmenlere kıyasla okul yöneticilerinin davranışlarını daha fazla ilgisiz buldukları ortaya çıkmıştır. Diğer bir yandan sınıf öğretmenlerinin branş öğretmenlerine kıyasla okul yöneticilerini daha demokratik buldukları, 21 yıl ve üstü kıdeme sahip öğretmenlerin de daha az kıdeme sahip öğretmenlere oranla yöneticileri daha çok otokrat ve ilgisiz buldukları da saptanmıştır. Yine çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin diğer okul türlerinde görev yapan öğretmenlere göre okul yöneticilerinin davranışlarını daha otokratik buldukları tespit edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda hem okul yöneticilerinin yeterliliklerinin artırılmasına yönelik hem de öğretmenlerin hak ve sorumlulukları konusunda farkındalık yaratmak için hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarına daha fazla yer verilmesi gerektiği önerilmiştir. Yapılacak bu hizmet içi eğitimlerin üniversitelerle koordineli olarak yapılması, ayrıca yönetici atama ve seçimlerinde yöneticilerin temel yeterlilik boyutu bağlamında gelişim sağlayacak yasal düzenlemelere gidilmesi de önerilmektedir.
The main purpose of this research is to determine according to the opinions of teachers on school managers’ management styles so that management processes in schools are healthy and efficient. The research is a quantum research and is in the scan model. The universe of research is composed of 8333 teachers who have worked in the educational year 2022-2023 in the central districts of Kayseri (Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, İncesu and Hacılar). The sample consists of 367 teachers with a 5 percent displayable error share. The research data was collected on the scale "the management styles showed by school managers" and the data was analyzed through the T-Test, Anova, Scheffe and Mann-Whitney-U tests. According to the analysis of the data, according to the teachers’ opinions, the basic educational schools in the districts of Kayseri or Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, Incesu and Hacılar have adopted the most democratic management style according to the teachers’ opinions, which is followed by the autocratic management style respectively, and the managers have adopted at least the uninterested management style. The research also found that male teachers found the behavior of school managers more irrelevant than female teachers. On the other hand, class teachers found their school managers more democratic than their branch teachers, and teachers with 21 years and over also found their managers more autonomous and uninterested than teachers with less. According to the results of the study, teachers who work in secondary schools found their behavior more autonomous than teachers who work in other kinds of schools. In this regard, it is proposed that more space should be provided to service education work to improve both the qualifications of school managers and to raise awareness of the rights and responsibilities of teachers. This service training is recommended to be carried out in coordination with the universities, as well as to go to the legal regulations that will develop in the context of the main qualification size of managers in the appointment of managers and elections.
The aim of this research is to determine the opinions of teachers about the management styles of school administrators in order for the management processes in schools to be healthy and efficient. The research is a quantitative research and is in the screening model. The study group of the research consists of 400 teachers working in Kayseri province Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, İncesu and Hacılar districts. The research data were collected with the scale of “Management styles exhibited by school administrators” and the data were analyzed with the t-Test, Anova, Scheffe and Mann-Whitney-U tests. As a result of the analysis of the data, according to the opinions of the teachers, it was found that the school administrators of the basic education schools working in the Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, İncesu and Hacılar districts of Kayseri adopted the democratic management style the most, followed by the autocratic management style, respectively, and the indifferent management style detected the least. In addition, according to the results of the research, it was revealed that male teachers found the behaviors of school administrators more indifferent compared to female teachers. On the other hand, it was determined that the classroom teachers found the school administrators more democratic than the branch teachers, and the teachers with 21 years or more seniority found the administrators more autocratic and indifferent than the teachers with less seniority. Again, according to the results of the study, it was determined that teachers working in secondary schools found the behaviors of school administrators more autocratic than teachers working in other school types. In this direction, it has been suggested that in-service training should be given more space both to increase the qualifications of school administrators and to raise awareness about the rights and responsibilities of teachers. It is also recommended that these in-service trainings be carried out in coordination with universities, and that legal arrangements should be made that will provide development in the context of the basic competence dimension of the managers in the appointment and selection of managers.
