Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti’nin Bir Kuşak Bir Yol projesi (One Belt One Road-OBOR) veya diğer bir ifade ile Kuşak Yol İnisiyatifi (Belt and Road Initiative-BRI), 21.yüzyılın en büyük girişimlerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Uzak Doğu, Orta Asya, Kuzey Afrika ve Avrupa’yı birbirine bağlayan bu tarihi girişimin en önemli güzergahlarından birisi de Orta Asya’dır. Çin-Moğolistan-Rusya-Avrupa ticaret hattının Rusya-Ukrayna savaşı ile sekteye uğraması ve Güneydoğu Asya ve Güney Çin Denizi bölgelerinde Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nin varlığı, Çin'in, Orta Asya'yı, kendisinin dünyaya açılan kapısı olarak görmesine yol açmıştır. Bölge, aynı zamanda Çin sanayisinin ihtiyaç duyduğu doğalgaz, petrol, uranyum vb. doğal kaynaklar bakımından da oldukça zengindir. Yapılan bu çalışmada, Sovyetler Birliği’nin dağılmasından sonra bağımsızlığını elde eden Orta Asya ülkeleri ile Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti’nin ticari, sosyal ve siyasal durumları ve birbirleriyle ilişkileri, OBOR kapsamında incelenmektedir.
One Belt One Road Project (OBOR), or Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), of the People's Republic of China, is considered one of the greatest initiatives of the 21st century. Central Asia is one of the most important routes of this historical initiative, which connects the Far East, Central Asia, North Africa and Europe. The interruption of the China-Mongolia-Russia-Europe trade line by the Russia-Ukraine war and the presence of the United States in Southeast Asia and the South China Sea regions have led China to see Central Asia as its gateway to the world. The region is also very rich in natural resources such as natural gas, oil, uranium and etc. that the Chinese industry needs. In this study, the commercial, social and political situations of the Central Asian countries, which gained their independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the People's Republic of China and their relations with each other are examined within the scope of OBOR.
