Bu çalışmanın amacı, aromatik turizmin geliştirilmesi açısından zengin kırsal alanlara sahip Muğla’nın Fethiye ilçesinde yer alan İncirköy’ün aromatik turizm arz potansiyelinin değerlendirilmesidir. Bu bağlamda nitel araştırma yöntemi kapsamında görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. 2022 yılının Temmuz ve 2023 yılının Nisan aylarında toplam on üç katılımcı ile görüşme sonrası elde edilen veriler, betimsel analiz ile yorumlanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre İncirköy’ün yeterli sayıdaki aromatik bitki tarlasına sahip olması, yöre halkının daha önce turizmde çalışmış olması, Fethiye’ye yakın olması, tur operatörleri için yeni turistik ürün oluşturması açısından aromatik turizm arz potansiyeline sahip olduğu görülmektedir.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the aromatic tourism supply potential of İncirköy, located in Fethiye district of Muğla, which has rich rural areas for the development of aromatic tourism. In this context, interview technique was used within the scope of qualitative research method. The data obtained after interviews with a total of thirteen participants in July 2022 and April 2023 were interpreted and evaluated with descriptive analysis. According to the results of the research, it is seen that İncirköy has aromatic tourism supply potential in terms of having sufficient number of aromatic plant fields, the local people having worked in tourism before, being close to Fethiye, and creating new touristic products for tour operators.
