Abstract:

Purpose -. The study addresses the dimensions of poverty that have enveloped humanity, the outlook and the factors affecting child poverty, the living conditions of impoverished children, the investment theories to reduce child poverty, and the situation of poor children in Turkey. Methodology/Approach/Design- The study first analyzes documents related to the subject in order to find an answer to the question, “Why are children poor?” and makes an assessment based on the documents analyzed in the context of their objectives and outcomes Findings- The study has concluded that child poverty is associated with family poverty. It should also be said that well-educated children will not be in poverty in adulthood and that their children will not be poor. Originality/Value- This study provides a holistic view of child poverty using a multidimensional approach.
