Abstract:

In the new industrial era, a product’s life cycle is treated as an environmental problem. The environmental effects of products formed by the combination of different parts, such as shoes, vary according to the characteristics of the materials used. It is necessary to remove the waste that occurs in the production stage and after use of the shoe and to accelerate the work on improving the production processes. The reuse of the shoes is important, along with recycling activities, the development of biologically fragile materials. The ability to control the damage to the environment by the shoe that has completed the lifecycle as a waste in the production phase, sustainable materials and recycling applications are an important topic for the shoe industry. In this study, the characteristics of the waste materials formed during and after the production of shoes, the negative effects on the environment, and information collected, were given examples of recycling studies. As a method, literary research and printed resource scan have been studied some of the studies and examples on the improvement of shoe production processes, materials and waste. The research is believed to be able to raise awareness of the damage, healing and recycling work that the material used in the shoe industry manufactures to the environment.
