Otomobillerin frenleme sistemlerinin en önemli parçalarından olan fren balatalarının içeriğinde onlarca farklı malzeme bulunmaktadır. Kompozit bir malzeme olan fren balatasından, iyi bir frenleme performansı, kararlı bir sürtünme katsayısı, yüksek aşınma direnci ve çevre dostu olması beklenmektedir. Özellikle son yıllarda, çevreye zararsız, doğal fren balata malzemesi arayışları hız kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada dünya rezervlerinin büyük çoğunluğu ülkemizde bulunan bor oksit kullanılarak, fren balatası numunesi üretilmiştir. Alternatif toz ile üretilen fren balatasının performans testleri yapılmıştır. Bor oksit katkılı numuneden elde edilen performans test sonuçları borun fren balatalarında alternatif toz olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir.
The brake boards, which are one of the most important components of the brake systems of cars, contain dozens of different materials. From the brake plate, which is a composite material, it is expected to have good braking performance, a stable drain rate, high drain resistance and environmentally friendly. Especially in recent years, the search for environmentally harmless, natural brake ballat material has gained speed. In this study, the vast majority of world reserves were produced by using bor oxyde found in our country, brake plate samples. The performance tests of the brake ballat produced with alternative powder have been performed. The performance test results obtained from the bor oxyde added sample showed that it can be used as alternative powder in pipe brake balls.
Brake pads, which are one of the most important parts of automobile braking systems, contain dozens of different materials. Brake pads are composite materials and are expected to have good braking performance, a stable friction coefficient, high wear resistance and environmentally friendly. Especially in recent years, the search for natural brake pad material has gained speed. In this study, most of the world reserves in our country, using the boron oxide brake pad sample was produced. Performance tests of brake pad produced with alternative powder were performed. The performance test results obtained from the boron oxide added sample showed that boron oxide could be used as an alternative powder in brake pads.
