Abstract:

In this study, graduate theses prepared for the practices of Turkish music in the field of piano have been evaluated by analysing from various points of view. When these studies were examined from many master theses related to piano, it was observed that these theses had significant contributions to the field of piano of Contemporary Turkish Music. This study under the title of Turkish music practices in the piano field is important in terms of creating resources for researchers to work on this field in the future. The universe of the study was created; in Turkey, the master's theses published in the field of the application of Turkish music in the piano field. In the framework of the study, 29 master's degrees, 10 doctorate and 1 qualification thesis were achieved. The examined theses were analyzed by dividing them into publication year, gender, type, university, institutes, maternity/anastasian branch, consultant, subject and methods.  The research data is interpreted by analyzing with visual statistical methods (percentage, frequency, crosstab). As a result of all this, the majority of the theses studied took place at the master's level, the majority of the theses published at the University of Gazi, the majority of the studies on content analysis and evaluation were achieved.
