Nowadays, health care services are organized in form of primary, secondary and tertiary care. The primary care services are located at center of the health services. The international researchs show that health care services which in well trained family physicians worked, provides more efficient health care both economicly and clinically success than passive ones. Primary health care services are multidimensional systems. The public health problems are resolved more quickly and easily in countries which had strong primary care infrastructure, so that health inequalities are prevented. In general, transfer rates to secondary and tertiary care fall and family physicians provide satisfactory answers to the majority of patients in countries with strong primary care. In addition, the countries which have strong primary care and lowest share of health expenditures in GNP are more cost-effective. The performance of countries’ primary health care systems are evaluated according to quality, equality and cost, in study named as "The Quality And Cost Of Primary Care İn Europe" (QUALICOPC).As result of this study, the answer of questions about the requirements of strong primary care and the contribution of the performance of health systems is expected. Today, radical changes are carried out in primary health care in Turkey. Family medicine practice is very long process which will take time for orientation of citizens and health care workers. So, our’ best wishes are about rapid development of failing aspects of our general health systems together with family medicine and the entrance of our country in sample countries of world.
