Abstract:

Kırşehir has spent its brightest period as one of the major trading centers in the Selçuklu State period. In fact, the related period is the period in which Ahi Evran, Hacı Bektaş, Mevlana, Father Ilyas lived in Anadolu. In this way, the diversity and activities of the scientists and thinkers in Anatolia are also an indicator of the importance that the Selchucks give to science and philosophy. But the Mongolian flows that strike the Selchuklu State have caused Anadolu to remain unown for a certain period of time. The activities of these persons in Anadolu have evolved in the form of gathering the dispersed Turkmen people and keeping their spirituality high. The establishment of the Anadolu Ahiliq is also equivalent to the beginning of Turkmen migrations that began as a result of the Mongol flows. The founder of the Ahilik Organization, which takes its foundation from the understanding of fituvvet, is Ahi Evran. The organization, organized in the form of trade unions, has also served to organize economic life. Kırşehir, one of the small cities of Central Anadolu, is considered the center of Ahiliya. But it is quite interesting to recognize that Ahi Evran, who is considered the pire of the debris, lives in Kırşehir, though there are very few signs of debris in the city. However, the place called Tabakhane is still in the city, and it is considered as a sign that the time of this profession exists in the city. But our main topic, the Selçuklu era, has really been a scene of interesting developments, and in this process the city has changed hands many times. This is why the economic, political and social structure of the Selçuklu period was worth examining.
