PEDAGOJİK GELİŞİM ÖLÇEĞİNİN TÜRKÇEYE UYARLANMASI: GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

The aim of this study was to adapt the pedagogical development scale to Turkish and to conduct validity and reliability studies. The scale developed by Hudson and Ginns (2007) to measure the pedagogical development of pre-service teachers was adapted to Turkish. The scale was applied to pre-service teachers from Science, Primary Mathematics and Classroom Teaching Departments. Construct validity of the scale was examined. A second set of data were collected from the same departments and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted on this second data set. As a result of the structure and reliability analysis of the scale, a 4-factor form was found. The first factor was called planning. This factor consisted of 10 items and Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient was found as ,88. The second factor was called application. This dimension consisted of 10 items and Alpha reliability coefficient was found as ,89. The third factor was called theory. This dimension consisted of 8 items and Alpha reliability coefficient was found as ,85. The fourth factor of the scale was called student development. This factor consisted of 6 items and Alpha reliability coefficient was found as ,79. Alpha reliability coefficient of the whole scale (n = 34) was found as ,95. As a result of the AMOS confirmatory factor analysis, the model's fit was demonstrated. According to the results of AMOS analysis, frequently used model fit indexes were found as follows: CMIN / DF = 1.85, CFI =,88, GFI =,85, TLI =,87 and RMSEA =,05. Accordingly, it can be said that the scale consisting of four factors and 34 items can be used to evaluate the pedagogical development of pre-service teachers.
