Although Turkey is known as one of the origins of safran plants, it is not among the countries where commercial production is made. The aim of this study is to identify some agro-morphological characteristics of the safran populations of Turkey and Iran in the Bornova ecological conditions. In the trial, populations of Turkey's Tokat, Safranbolu and Iran's Kashmar regions were used as a plant material. The research was conducted in 2017 in the second year of the plants that are available in the field of the Department of Farm Plants of the Ziraat Faculty of the University of Ege. The number of flowers in populations, the age of flowers weight, the age of flament weight, the flament length, the stigma length, the style length, the flowers length, the petal length, the age of stigma weight, the dry stigma weight, the dry flowers weight, the dry style weight, the age of style weight and the dry flament weight characteristics have been studied. According to the results of the study, there was a significant difference between populations in terms of the number of flowers, the age of flowers weight and the length of the petals. The highest number of flowers and petal length is from the population of Safranbolu, while the highest age flower weight is from the population of Kashmar. There have been significant and positive correlations between the age flament weight and the age stigma weight (r=0.950**) and the age style weight (r=0.898**). The length of the flament, stigma (r = 0. It can also be said that the flowers (r=0.854**), the length of the style (r=0.778*) and the weight of the dry flower (r=0.859**) are increased. In addition, strong positive relationships have been found between the age stigma weight and the dry flower weight and the age style weight; the dry stigma weight and the dry flame weight. Because we have more flowers, we have come to the conclusion that the populations of our country can be grown safely in the region's conditions.
