Abstract:

The final stage of the production chain of wood raw materials is the transportation of carpets under appropriate conditions and safely stored in forest warehouses until the sale. Products brought to the warehouse; product kind (made or ibreli), shape (track, mining straight, paper wood, industrial wood, burning wood), size (long, medium or short) and quality (I. II. and III. They are classified in separate parcels. After the sale, they will be charged back to the trucks to move to the processing centers. The loading, discharge and assembly work in forest warehouses is done largely with human or machine power. The forest deposits are built on an average 5%-wing open ground between production and consumption centers. The availability of warehouses involves significant dangers on workers due to the weather, the working environment and the weight of the work done, and may result in major accidents that cause fatal or long-term disabilities. This study assessed the measures to be taken in terms of health and safety of workers, identifying the potential dangers that workers working in forest warehouses may face.
