Abstract:

Strategic management is the management technique that organizations use to their long-term goals taking into account internal and external environmental factors. The importance of strategic management is increasing every day for many reasons, such as being able to ensure the continuity of organizations, succeed in an intense competitive environment, be aware of developments and changes, be able to easily deal with crises that threats to the enterprise may be aware of, and be able to evaluate opportunities. In this study, after a short literary survey of the topic and importance of strategic management, the postgraduate theses written on strategic management in Turkey were studied between 2010 and 2020. The data obtained from the theses studied by the method of content analysis are shown as frequency and percentage. The purpose of the research is to study the characteristics of the postgraduate theses written on strategic management, and then keep light on the studies to be done on this subject. The study found that the majority of the theses written on this subject are Turkish and focused on the master's level, the majority of the theses written by the University of Gazi, the number of the theses written in the state universities, the theses focused more on the Institute of Social Sciences and Business Anatomy, and the sub-subject titles are mainly studied on strategic management practices and the impact of strategic management on business performance.
