Öğretim ortamlarının öğretim araçları ile desteklenmesi öğrenmenin niteliğini artırmaktadır. Bu araştırmada PowerPoint ile yapılan ders sunumlarının etkililiği nedir? Sorusuna cevap aranmıştır. Araştırma genel tarama modelinde betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2006-2007 öğretim yılı ikinci yarıyılı Mesleki Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi ve Dekoratif Sanatlar öğretmenliği anabilim dalı üçüncü sınıf öğrencileri ile Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi Tesisat ve Metal öğretmenliği bölümü üçüncü sınıflarında öğrenim gören 138 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırıcı tarafından dersler PowerPoint sunumlarla yapılmış, öğrenci merkezli uygulamalarla desteklenmiştir. Aştırma için gerekli olan veriler araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 19 maddelik anket ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde t testi ve tek yönlü variyans analizi tekniklerinden yararlanmıştır. Gruplar arasında farkın anlamlı olduğu durumlarda farkın hangi gruplardan kaynaklandığını tespit etmek için variyansların homojenliğinde Tukey testi, homojen olmadığı durumda ise Dunnet C testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin görüşlerine göre derslerin yalnızca PowerPoint sunuma dayalı etkinliklerle yapılmasının yetersiz olduğu, diğer yöntem teknik ve araçlarla desteklenmesi gerektiği sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.
That learning environments are supported with the educational materials increase the quality of learning. In this study, the question “what the effectiveness is of courses presentation with power point” has been answered. Descriptive research is used in this study. The sample of the research was composed of 137 third year students from Gazi University. The lessons were done by the researcher with PowerPoint presentation and supported by the student based activities. The data were collected by the 19 item-scale which was prepared by the researcher. While analyzing t-test and one way ANOVA were used. To find out the source of difference, Tukey test was applied but Dunnet test was used if there was no homogeneity. According to the students participated in this study, the lessons supplemented with the activities depending on the power points basically has turned out to be insufficient in terms of the effectiveness of the courses and there have to be additional tools to increase the effectiveness of lessons
