In this study, it is aimed to examine the perceptions of “digital native” students towards the concept of value and whether these perceptions are compatible with the root values. The research was carried out with a total of 204 students residing in Malatya and having digital native characteristics. The research was carried out with the mixed research method. While the questionnaire was used as the quantitative method, the phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative methods, was used. In the questionnaire, demographic information form including variables such as students' gender, age, family income level, and also "What are the five things that can be expressed as valuable according to you?" question is included. The data obtained from the questionnaire were evaluated using SPSS 25. “What are the five things that can be described as valuable to you?” In the analysis of the answers given to the question, content analysis was carried out and codes and categories were created according to the meaning features. It was seen that the participants produced 63 different mental images about the concept of "valuable" and these mental images were gathered under 8 categories. It has been observed that the associations expressed by the participants as valuable partially overlap with the values expressed as root values.
