Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to obtain the views of the teachers of social information on the course of social information in the process of distance learning in Turkey due to Covid-19. In the study, the educational year 2020-2021 worked with 15 social information teachers who worked in Düzce. In this study, the scientific (fenemological) design was used from the quality research methods. For this purpose, the data was collected with the help of a semi-configured conversation form of 11 questions, and these data were solved by the visual analysis method. According to the findings obtained from the study, the participating social information teachers have pointed out that they are difficult to implement and educate the achievements found in the social information curriculum, especially at the 6th grade level. The level of continuation of social information courses occurred lower than in private schools in public schools. In distance learning, the material wealth is limited. The diversity of supporting activities in the course has been reduced. Especially in rural schools, connectivity problems, the lack of equipment, such as computers, have reduced the efficiency of students. The view that students are unwilling to participate in classwork studies has been highlighted and it has been pointed out that they lose their excitement and their desires decrease as weeks go on.
