Abstract:

Cevat Joker is one of the most important writers of Turkish literature. The fisherman used the fisherman in his work. For in history, Halikarnassos, which is Bodrum, is an important, special place for it. Almost all of his works have been carried out by Bodrum and its own beauty. In addition to Bodrum, it has dealt with the Egean Sea and the Mediterranean and their shores and natural beauty as a whole with the people. In this whole there are people’s suffering, life and bread struggles, beliefs, stories. The sea is also a part of the land. With the sea and the land, Anatolia is a whole land for him. In our literature, Cevat Shakir, also a pioneer of the Blue Anadolu Movement, puts the roots of Western civilization on Anadolu. In his works he tries to tell Anadolu and Blue Anadolu with all its beauty. In his works, he gives a great deal of place to the stories of the mythology. One of the mythological elements he places is Poseidon. The question of how Poseidon as a mythological personality in his works, whether or not the differences from his origin, how he finds his expression, is the main problem of this study. The Blue Anadolu thought, led by Cevat Shakir, puts it in a separate place from the other writers who put the mythological elements in their works. From here, the work of Cevat Shakir, conducted by document analysis of the quality research methods, is focused on the myth of Poseidon and the marine motives. In the study, the attempt to maintain the existence of the sea motives and the rumors of Poseidon from ancient times to present, the reflection in the works of the Halikarnas Fisherman, in other words, the traces in the modern narrative were tried to be identified.
