Abstract:

The ideal of continuous development is one of the characteristics that the human being has from birth. The human being affects every area in his life he feels a need to change. Humanity’s activities have continued over the centuries and have influenced the different branches of the profession in which it plays. In these branches of the profession; ‘archives, library, information centers, etc.’ There are different structures. The “bibliothèque” industry, as it develops with the action of the change factor, is also positively affected and every day it moves its services to the future. It strongly demonstrates the influence of "continuous development philosophy" in academic libraries. The main reason for the existence of academic libraries is to provide the resources the user needs. Academic libraries that need to determine the benefits they provide to their users and constantly measure the quality of the services they provide are also conducting various service quality measurement surveys and standardization studies. These standardization studies take advantage of 'quality handbooks' and have 'quality documents' as a result of the 'quality handbooks' process. As a result of the study, the various general quality management practices and standard examples applied in academic libraries were studied; the obtained data were focused on the "future of continuous development in academic libraries" and the recommendations were presented.
