Abstract:

The aim of this study is to use airline-specific measurement indicators to examine the performance of airlines before and after the global financial crisis through multi-critical decision-making methods. In this context, the performance of 13 airlines in the period 2005-2012 was studied. The CRITIC method is used to determine the importance of the criteria used in the study, while the EDAS method is used to classify according to the performance of the airlines. The findings of the study show that airlines were affected by the global financial crisis, even in the post-crisis years (2010-2012). The findings also show that the year 2010 was the year in which the negative effects of the financial crisis were most felt in terms of airlines.
